Katherine Virdi, SPHR, ACC is a former senior executive with over 20 years of experience in government contracting, the non-profit sector and academia.  Katherine has over 14 years of experience in human capital management, operations management and corporate management in the federal government contracting environment.  

Katherine's career spans the educational, non-profit, commercial, and government contracting sectors. Katherine started her career in education as a Teaching Assistant at The American University while in graduate school.  After graduating, she joined the non-profit sector and worked for several years at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.  In 1999, Katherine entered in to government contracting world  joining Axiom Resource Management as a Senior Analyst supporting the Department of Defense's Communications Directorate of the TRICARE Management Activity (TMA).  She then continued her career in government contracting when she joined IntelliDyne, LLC where she held executive roles in technical management, human resources, personnel security during her tenure there.  At Evolvent Technologies, Inc., Katherine was sought after for her Human Resources expertise.  As the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, she was responsible for doubling the company’s resources in three months.  She was quickly promoted to Executive Vice President of Operations where she managed the day-to-day operations of the organization.

Katherine is one of the Leadership Legacy Coaches for George Mason University.
Katherine received B.A. degrees in French Studies and International Studies from the University of Richmond. She also holds M.A. degrees in French Studies and in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the American University in Washington, DC. Additionally, she has two globally recognized certificates in French Translation and in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). She also holds a Certificate of Human Resources Studies from Cornell University.  In 2008, Katherine  received her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and was recertified in June of 2011.  She graduated from George Mason’s Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance Program and received her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification from the International Coach Federation (ICF).  She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and International Coach Federation and Women In Technology (WIT).  She contributed two chapters to the book, An Insider’s Guide to Finding a Job: Expert Advice from America’s Top Employers and Recruiters.
